Underfloor heating systems
Underfloor heating warms the whole floor slab using warm water circulating through pipe circuits laid in the screed. Because it works at a lower water temperature than radiators, it pairs extremely well with condensing boilers and heat pumps.
Work begins with checking floor insulation and screed thickness. Pipe spacing is set from the heat loss calculation, with tighter spacing along external walls and in front of windows. Circuits run continuously from the manifold, with no joints buried under the screed.
Once the circuits are laid, the system is pressure tested and the screed is poured while pressure is maintained. After the screed has cured we run a staged first heating programme; skipping this step risks cracking in the floor finish.
Underfloor heating is controlled room by room using thermostats and motorised manifold actuators. In wet rooms we usually recommend a combined solution with a radiator or towel rail so the bathroom heats up quickly.

We install to the approved project, run the pressure tightness test and prepare the technical report.

Gas commissioning
We book the inspection appointment with the distribution company and attend on the day gas is opened.
