Combi boiler installation and commissioning
Installing a combi boiler is more than hanging a unit on the wall: correct capacity selection, flue and condensate connections, system flushing and commissioning are all part of the job. As an authorised Vaillant dealer we install to warranty requirements.
First we assess the heated area, glazing and insulation levels and your hot water demand to determine the required capacity. For a typical two-bedroom flat in Antalya a 23–24 kW condensing boiler is usually enough, while larger flats and homes with two bathrooms are better served by 29–34 kW models.
Before fitting, the radiator system is flushed and, where needed, a filter and water treatment are added. In condensing boilers the acidic condensate must be routed to a suitable drain and the flue kit must match the appliance; our team never skips these details.
Once the gas, water and electrical connections are complete, the boiler is commissioned. Gas pressure and combustion values are measured, the heating curve and comfort settings are adjusted and the warranty record is completed. Before handover we walk you through how to use the appliance.
Why correct capacity matters in boiler installation
The most common mistake in combi boiler installation is guessing the capacity from floor area alone. An undersized boiler cannot keep the home warm on cold days and runs at full output constantly; an oversized one switches on and off too often, which lowers efficiency and wears parts faster. Correct sizing looks at insulation, the number of exposed walls, the floor position and how many bathrooms are used at once, not just the heated area.
Hot water demand also affects capacity. Because combi boilers heat water on demand, homes where two showers run at the same time may need a model with a higher hot water flow rate even if the heating load is small. That is why we also ask about the number of bathrooms and how many people use hot water at once during the survey.

Factors that affect the cost of boiler installation
The total cost of a combi boiler installation is made up of the appliance, the installation labour and the materials needed. The main items that change the price are:
- The chosen Vaillant model and its capacity
- Flue type and the length of the flue kit
- Removing the old boiler and adapting connections to the new one
- Whether the gas, water or electrical supply needs to move
- Distance to a drain for the condensate
- System flushing, filter and water treatment needs
- Extra work such as adding radiators or replacing valves

Replacing an old boiler with a condensing model
Many flats in Antalya still run boilers that are more than ten years old. When replacing them with a condensing model, the flue kit is renewed to suit the new appliance and a proper drain connection is added for the condensate. Because sludge in an old system can damage the new heat exchanger, we recommend flushing the system before installation and fitting a magnetic filter where needed.
If the boiler is moving to a new position, the gas installation project must be updated, so an alteration project and approval become part of the job. If the boiler stays in the same place and the pipework is ready, a standard replacement is usually completed within the same day.
Installation day and after
On installation day the boiler is hung, the gas, water, electrical and flue connections are made and the appliance is commissioned. Gas pressure and combustion values are measured and the heating and hot water settings are adjusted to your home.
