Alanya Natural Gas & Heat Pump for Foreign Owners
Natural gas reached Alanya for the first time in 2025, starting in the Oba and Çıplaklı neighbourhoods; the rest of the district is not yet covered. Devka Doğalgaz installs natural gas systems where the connection exists, and Vaillant heat pumps for the many holiday homes, villas and apartments across Alanya that foreign owners use seasonally.
Partially on the gas network. The network reaches some neighbourhoods here but not others. Depending on your address we assess a gas installation or a heat pump together during the survey.

Natural Gas in Alanya: A Process That's Just Beginning
Alanya is one of the most recent districts in Antalya to gain natural gas access. In 2025, Enerya Antalya Gaz Dağıtım A.Ş. laid a feeder line via Emişbeleni, first connecting Oba and then Çıplaklı. But this is only a starting point across Alanya's large district area. District-wide coverage depends on a main line arriving from the Mersin direction and progress on BOTAŞ's MAGA pipeline project (Manavgat–Alanya–Gazipaşa–Anamur Natural Gas Pipeline). Densely populated, resort-heavy areas like Mahmutlar, Kestel, Konaklı and Avsallar currently have no gas connection at all.
Gas Installation in Oba and Çıplaklı
In the connected areas, we design a natural gas internal installation project and submit it for Enerya approval, then install it with a certified team. Site and apartment-block construction is common here, so riser line planning often needs coordination with building management - we handle that process on your behalf. Once gas is connected, we also provide Vaillant combi boiler installation and ongoing maintenance.
Heat Pumps for Foreign Property Owners and Seasonal Homes
Most of Alanya - resort-heavy, foreign-ownership-heavy neighbourhoods like Mahmutlar, Kestel, Konaklı, Avsallar, Tosmur and Cikcilli - isn't within gas coverage yet. Many properties here are used only part of the year, often by owners who live abroad most of the time. For this usage pattern, a Vaillant aroTHERM plus heat pump is a practical fit: it installs without waiting for gas infrastructure, delivers both heating and hot water, and runs on electricity, so it works anywhere in Alanya - site apartment, villa, or standalone flat. It runs on R290 refrigerant, can deliver water up to 75°C, and comes in capacities from 4 to 15 kW; compact split models (aroTHERM Split) tend to suit site-style apartments, while monobloc units are often better for standalone villas.
Coastal Location and Outdoor Unit Protection
Alanya's coastline is exposed to salt-laden sea air, which can corrode metal surfaces over time. We plan outdoor unit placement away from direct sea spray where possible, while still keeping airflow clear, and we consider additional corrosion protection at addresses where it's warranted.
Seasonal Use and Managing an Empty Property
The most common issues in homes left empty for most of the year are freezing, moisture build-up, and unexpected faults in systems that haven't run for months. A frost-protection mode on a heat pump or combi boiler keeps the property at a minimum safe temperature even when fully unoccupied, reducing the risk of burst pipes. A system check at the start and end of the season lowers the risk of faults after long periods of inactivity - useful peace of mind if you're managing the property from abroad.
Which Service Fits Your Alanya Property?
- Main line connected in Oba / Çıplaklı: gas internal installation + combi boiler installation
- Rest of the district (Mahmutlar, Kestel, Konaklı, Avsallar, etc.): Vaillant heat pump
- Seasonal / holiday use: heat pump + frost-protection setting
- Existing combi boiler or radiator system: maintenance/service
Never attempt to fix a suspected gas or electrical fault yourself - always contact an authorised team.

Frequently asked questions
Which parts of Alanya have natural gas?
In 2025, a feeder line via Emişbeleni first brought natural gas to Oba, and then to Çıplaklı - the first neighbourhoods in Alanya to get a connection. The rest of the district doesn't have gas yet.
When will natural gas reach the whole of Alanya, including Mahmutlar and Konaklı?
There's no confirmed date yet. Full coverage depends on the main line coming from the Mersin direction and the progress of BOTAŞ's MAGA (Manavgat–Alanya–Gazipaşa–Anamur) pipeline project. We share the latest status for your area during the site survey rather than guessing a date.
Does a heat pump make sense for a holiday home I only use a few months a year?
Yes. A Vaillant heat pump covers both heating and hot water in one system, installs without waiting for gas infrastructure, and can be brought back into service quickly before a short stay. If you also want air conditioning, we can plan both around the same electrical setup.
I live abroad and my property is empty for months - will the pipework freeze or break down?
Homes left empty over winter face a higher risk of freezing and moisture-related faults. Heat pump and combi boiler systems can be set to a low continuous frost-protection mode, and we recommend a maintenance check before you close up the property for the season. If you suspect a gas or electrical fault, an on-site check is always needed - don't guess remotely.
